Comments : I filed DS-160 when the NVC case status switched to ready and did not wait for any letter from the consulate (which took another ~2 weeks to arrive from that point) and sent the confirmation to the embassy by email, as per the consulates instructions.
It was not necessary to wait for the letter from the consulate.
You can find the instructions for the consulate here:

X-ray appointment ahead of the medical exam.

2024-10-02 Wed
I had the medical exam done only 2 working days before the consulate interview.

2024-10-07 Mon
By the time I had the interview the consulate did not have the results yet. I was verbally told my visa was approved and they kept my passport, but that it would be refused until they receive the medical results.

2024-10-09 Wed
The doctor called me in the evening to inform me the results were now being sent to the embassy. I also received the DS-3025 (Vaccination records) by email.

2024-10-10 Thu
CEAC status changed to approved

2024-10-11 Fri
CEAC status changed to issued

2024-10-15 Tue
I received a shipping notification from UPS in the afternoon, the notification from GTS premium by email only arrived past 8pm.

2024-10-16 Wed
I received my passport with the K-1 Visa (valid until 2025-04-01) and the sealed envelope.
I was surprised to find one corner of the sealed envelope has been cut, but after a search in the forum it turned out this is intended so airport security can inspect the contents without having to open it.

Hi guys, thank you for the detailed info about doing the consulate checklist ahead of time! That helps shorten our timeline a ton! :)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
