Hi congrats on your approval and case moving forward. May I know if you received any emails from either Islamabad embassy or NVC during your wait after notice 2? My case is at NVC for 4 months now. Kindly please respond. Thank you

Thank you and no, we didn't. The case status just said 'ready" out of nowhere one day, checked it randomly.

Hello! After your found out that the case was ready what were the next steps? Also have you guys been able to schedule an interview and if so how far out was it? Our case got approved on 3/26/24 and we are still waiting for it to be sent to Islamabad. Any guidance will be much appreciated!

Hi Our case is still at NVC It has not been forwarded to Islamabad embassy yet.

Where is your case currently at? What is the status

Hi, it has been at NVC since April/ May. Our case got approved on 3/26/24. I got the approval letter on 4/2/24 and on the letter ir stated that our case would be sent to NVC in 2-4 weeks. We didn’t hear anything so I emailed NVC on 5/1/24. I got a reply with our case number and were told that Islamabad embassy was not processing K1 visas. When I email them I get mixed answers. Some weeks they will say cases are not being processed other weeks they say they are waiting for the embassy.

Yes I received the same response from them just like you. Basically wait period is there

I am hoping we find out soon though! It’s just frustrating not knowing when it’s going to happen!

It’s definitely frustrating. Let’s cross fingers that soon they start processing cases again

Please have hope, I got my NOA2 in march 2024 and my case status has been at NVC eversince. Then one day out of nowhere Alhamdolillah it got approved in the begging of September this year. We have scheduled an interview now. You have to go to this site ustraveldocs. Its pretty simple from there onwards. It took approximately 6 months for the case to get ready. All expedite requests were denied. It took a lot of patience. Wish you good luck.

Hello, thank you for replying back. What is this website ustraveldocs? Also when you guys found out did you guys get an email or was a letter sent in the mail?
blank avatar Doc11B on 2024-10-03 said:
No we checked the status on caec website. When it said “ready”, we did get a welcome letter email from embassy a few days later. We got a letter too in mail too. The site where you can schedule for the interview is ustraveldocs.com. You have to create an account, pay visa fee and schedule. Before all this I suggest you work on completing your documents.

Doc11b congrats. Doc1991 , you are next in the line , sounds like waiting time to transfer to ISL embassy is give and take 6 months. You are next in line , fingers crossed . To check status of your case use www.Ceac.state.gov . Once it shows in transit then you can start creating your account on www.ustraveldoc.com to fill out ds160 form , pay fee and then schedule an interview followed by medical exam . Keep us updated

Hi guys! Got an update. The case is in transit as of 10/25/24. Any idea how long it will be until the embassy gets it? All advice will be much appreciated!
blank avatar Aishaabdullah on 2024-10-27 said:
I believe within a week . Usually 1-2 days

I was wondering, did your NoA2 needed to b renewed since it expires for the 6 month wait time? Or you didn’t have to do anything ? Please respond thank you!
blank avatar Doc1991 on 2024-11-01 said:
Hi! I would periodically receive the following email but on my end I did not have to do anything to renew the application. “ Approved Forms I-129F have a 120-day expiration date from the date of approval by United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). * Once your designated embassy or consulate schedules your interview, a consular officer will revalidate your petition for another 120 days. * You do not need to take any action for this revalidation to happen. However, you may need to provide evidence that you still qualify for the K-1 nonimmigrant visa. ”

Thank you ! That’s a relief

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
