I am seriously thinking of going back to Mexico to reunite with my husband. It has been more than a year and USCIS won’t give us an update. I came to the US because I was transferred at the company that I work for but being a US citizen, they could not sponsor a Visa for my husband. It has been more than a year now and every day is so frustrating that we are not together.

Juan/Israel: My Mexican spouse and I have a similar timeline to yours. We are a little behind you. I wondered if you could share with me, has your interview in Ciudad Juarez been scheduled yet? I really empathize with the pain of being separated. I've seen staying in Mexico to be close to my spouse while we wait, but I also miss home (Seattle, WA).

Hi Josh: our interview in Ciudad Juárez has not been scheduled yet but we already made our minds that we should get it around October for the interview to happen December 2025 - January 2026. I know that may not sound encouraging but this is all about ups and downs with our sanity and for now we are in the place where I rather keep it realistic. There’s a couple of FB groups that have very live and fresh progress update on the Consulate in Ciudad Juárez. And now I know that appointments where released in late Feb/25 for people that got DQed Feb-March/24 (done with their 6 steps / approved by NVC). So the consulate is taking basically 12 months to send an appointment.

Josh: Very active FB pública group where people is announcing their progress and everyday and also Sharon their experience there: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/18Y2EbTG3z/?mibextid=wwXIfr Let me know if it’s of any help to you and I wish you the best for you and Antonio!

Was your DQ'd date Oct 15, 2024? Just to give me an idea.

Yes exactly. Oct 15, 2024 we received the email from NVC confirming that they received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to scheduling our immigrant visa interview.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
