Hi
I was wondering , which site do you check your case status with NVC?
Please respond
Thank you

Hi there - we checked https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV
It’s a bit confusing because you have to check using the immigrant visa even though K1 is a non-immigrant. If your case is at NVC it will say “at NVC.” If it’s in on the way to the beneficiary’s (principal applicant) country, “in transit.” And when the embassy/consulate has received and processed it, it will say “ready.” Hope this helps!

Omg yes
Thank you for your help. Mine states “At NVC

Great - glad this was helpful!

What was the outcome of your K1 Visa interview?

Hey I had my K1 Visa interview on January 6,2024 and I was asked to submit my original divorce certificate and my passport.I did submit on January 10. Till now my visa is not issued. How was your interview?

Does it say Administrative Processing or Refused on the ceac website? Did they give you one of the 221 forms after your interview?

I was given the 221g and she marked the spot which indicate original divorce certificate and she also mark another spot which indicate submit your passport and the original document together to the consulate.

It’s state Refuse on ceac. But my passport and my original divorce certificate is sent to them as they have requested.

Okay - I think it should change to administrative processing once they receive what is needed. AP times can vary. Have they updated your case since you submitted the what was needed?

They have not updated it yet, so I sent an email to the embassy and this was their response.
Greetings,
Once the documents have been received, we will proceed accordingly. Please be advised that cases are reviewed in the order in which documents are received. As such, we cannot provide a specific timeline.

Yes - they just might have not received them. Right now it’s just a waiting game and patience. It might be good to try and find the average wait times for AP at your embassy. Every consulate is different. Good luck!

Thank you

Hi, my case has been approved. How long did it take for your visa to be issued by the embassy.

One for it to be issued. Another week for my fiancé to pick it up.

Thank you

No problem.

Hello and congratulations. I received an email from NVC stating the case has been transferred and my attorney was able to log in and complete payment. The confirmation states we should show up for the pre interview and interview as emailed to us but we have not received any emails. How fast did you received your interview dates? Who did it come from (NVC or Consulate)?

Once our case was “in transit” it took a day for our case to become “ready.” From that, it took about 6 months to get the email with our pre-screening and interview date. Our actual interview date was a year after we filed. There is no order to when folks receive the notification. You just have to continue to wait until your time comes. We did reach out to the embassy a few times for updates. Hope this helps!

Ok thank you so much. This certainly helps.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
