I got a letter telling me that the case was sent to NVC and that in 2-4 weeks, NVC should process it and send it to the US Consulate in Pakistan. I received this letter on 06/10. Unfortunately, I have not received any further communication. The only way to reach out to the NVC now is via an online 'inquiry form' and I have submitted it multiple times. I only got back one answer saying "all parties will be notified when this petition is forwarded to the assigned US Consulate General".

I have to tell you, this whole process is terrible and it is so frustrating and it sucks . I'm so mad and so anxious, but don't you worry at least your case is three steps ahead of me. I wish you best of luck and hope you will hear something good soon ?

The lack of transparency is what annoys me the most. How hard is to to tell the applicant what stage their application is at. But I appreciate your well wishes. Thanks a ton!! You should hang in there as well. Good luck to you!

No good news unfortunately. I was informed about 6 weeks ago that the US consulate in Islamabad had paused processing Immigration Visas. The case is still with NVC and I will be notified when that changes. I have not received any further notice till yet. I submitted an inquiry regarding the status last week but have not heard back yet.

Islamabad embassy says they've huge backlog . Says more that they're processing cases slowly coz of being short staffed . It's so bad first wait here and then there . And now with DJT government idk what else they gonna do how more slow it's gonna go , no one knows . Hoping for the best but getting so tired

Mani09 , you are next in line . NVC wait time For ISL is roughly 6-7 months . You might see your petition go in transit status at any time from now . Please update us

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
