Hello... I am new here. Seems like not many people have filed the I130 so when I found yours I was elated. I recently filed my application. Last year December... Any advice... I see you have made it past several hurdles so far...

It's a waiting game. You just have to trust the system. For us it was easier since we were able to see each other more often. We were able to work on the application together and that made it easier as well. The application wasn't really that bad, as long as you already have the requirements with you mostly.
If your beneficiary has lived in another country or was born in another country that is not where they currently live, be more pro active in getting their birth certificate, police clearance, etc. anything that you need just a little bit early just before (usually after 2 years submitting I130) the NVC stage to prevent delays in the application. Those little things take a little bit of time to get and adds up, so just to keep in mind.
ok great!. My wife is in DR I believe our case is pretty straight forward. I only filed for her... unfortunately I have to travel to see her of course and of course it adds up. Hopefully I won't have to wait 2 years like I've heard some people's stories.
I'm super surprised on how quick you mentioned your interview was. I have heard people having interviews 30 minutes to several hours long and they getting rejected.
The interview didn't take long for us since our case was pretty straightforward. Just the basic questions like I said.
When I went to Montreal for our interview, they asked for all of the original copy of my documents (e.g. Birth certificate, police clearance, marriage certificate etc.) so just bring those with you.
There was a woman there that got refused because she failed to bring one of the requirements and she had to reschedule her interview appointment again which would take upwards of a few months.
I've also seen people brought everything. The documents that they've submitted from the beginning, like the I130, ds260, AOS, like everything. I don't think you need all of that but I guess it doesn't hurt to bring them all in.
The things that you've submitted to the NVC stage is really all you need for your interview and that's what they tell you to only bring anyway.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
