Event Description
Review Date : April 1, 2008
Embassy Review : I had a 9.30 appointment. I got there around 8.30. I went straight in after my name was comfirmed on the list(not many people there). Do not take any lotion perfume umbrella sharp objects or electronics with you they are not allowed inside and write your name on the back of your pictures. I went through security then proceeded to the court yard where i met some more secirites who told me what documents you will need to have in hand. I handed the documents the security/reception desk. He stapled them together then returned them to me. He gave me a ticket with my number and pointed me where to go. I waited in section A for 15-20 minutes then my number was called. I went to the desk and handed in my documents, my fiancee when to pay the fee and returned to the window with me. The lady cheked my documents and ticked them off on her little pink list then ask me to proceed to section B. I waited at section B for another 10 minutes then my number was called again. I went up to the desk where my finger printing was done. I then proceeded to section C. I waited for what seem like a hour but was only 15 minutes them back to the window. I was interviewed by a pleasant lady, She smiled alot and was very relaxed. she asked my fiance who he was and thank him for attending the interview. I was asked how did we meet, when did the relationship begin, when did the proposal happen and where, was there a ring, have we ever been married before, do we have children, where did my fiance stay when he came to visit. She asked me to write his name and sign my DS-156K. then she asked if i had my passport number written down on the pink slip i said yes, she handed me directions and a pink card to take to air pak then welcomed me to the US i said thank you, I almost run away from the window with joy. I looked I my fiance, smiled held his hand, thanked the interviewer then left with a permanent grin on my face.

Embassy Review : I really did not expect this to be so easy. I was the frist in the visitor's line. The immigration officer was very friendly. He asked me if i was coming to America to live and I said yes then he made a joke about if I was sure, so I said yes. He flicked through my papers that I handed to him and asked if I had any childern. he then stamped my passport, took my finger print and picture. He then walked me over to another room where he handed my papers to the lady at the desk. I was there for less than 2 minutes. the lady just stamped and stapled a paper with the EAD and called me to collect it. I went through, collected my bags then pushed them out, there were not even checked. No problems whatsoever harassement level 0
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
