Comments : They needed a recent photo (I just used the same photo for my previous visa) hence the delay in receiving the K1 visa. The process was easy as they emailed me a day after the interview needed a latest photo and I send it through Aramex the next day.

Consulate Review: Malaysia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 16, 2024
Embassy Review : Arrived 7.45am for an 8am interview. By 7.58am, already gotten a number and was shown to the visitor's waiting room to wait. Around 8.30am, number was called and you have to go to the counter to show all your documents one by one, then wait again for 10-15 minutes. Number called again for interview and it was a breeze. They asked how did we know each other, when did we first meet and where I'll be staying once I'm in the US. By 9.15am, I'm out of the embassy and my visa is approved. Every staff there was helpful and patient. They made me feel at ease.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Philadelphia
Event Description
Entry Date : 2024-02-15
Embassy Review : Philly was a breeze. Arrived 3pm on a Thursday and headed to the line with Visa/immigrant (they pointed out any kind of visa queue there). The officer was nice and asked where my fiancée is from and showed me to the second inspection room. There, a few other people waited with me. I hand over my envelope and wait for the officer to call me. After my name being called, he asked when is my wedding date and reminded me to get married in 90days. And then I was off to get my luggages. All done within 30 minutes.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
