POE Review: Los Angeles
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-10-25
Embassy Review : Nothing difficult, the officer asked where and when my fiance (at the time) and I met, what he does, and since I'd visited him a couple times before, what we did and where we went during my trips and stuff. I felt that he was a little intimidating at first (maybe by the way he talked and the atmosphere since I was nervous) but as he went on asking me those questions, I could see that he was very fair and not tricky at all so the whole interview took about 10 to 15 minutes and I was let go

Good luck to those who are about to go through this!
Harassment Level : Low

Embassy Review : very easy! none of those tricky "example questions" listed on VJ were asked. all the lady asked was our home address, my birthday, and if i'd ever commited any kind of crimes in the past. and the only documents we handed in were copies of my american husband's birth certificate, tax returns(it's better to bring originals and copies so you can have your originals back), and pictures of our wedding and family gathering. the interview itself was about 5-10 minutes long. if your marriage is legit, you've got nothing to worry about
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
