Comments : Turns out I need a joint sponsor and I was missing a document.

My spouse will be continuing the same income but she will not being paying us taxes so apparently that's not good enough for them.

Uploaded my documents to CEAC on the 28th of June and the embassy called me the next day saying I was approved. Woke up the 30th to see it was issued.

Consulate Review: Dublin, Ireland

Event Description

Embassy Review : The interview was really easy nothing to be worried about. The consular officer only asked me three questions.

1.when did you meet your spouse?
2.where did you meet your spouse?
3.when are you planning to move to the USA?

Unfortunately I got a 221g asking for a joint sponsor. We thought my wife's job would be sufficient as her income was going to continue when we move, but she will be working remotely for an Irish company and not paying us taxes. They were quick to check the documents after I uploaded them and approve me which was nice.

I'm giving the consulate a low score however as their communication is abysmal, not answering phone calls or emails. Leaving me worrying for months on end trying to figure things out for myself.
Rating : Moderate

POE Review: Dublin
Event Description
Entry Date : 2023-07-13
Embassy Review : Really handy, the border guard was friendly. I was brought into a back room and asked to confirm where I was staying etc. They let me change my green card mailing address. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
