Comments : Check for I-130 cashed on 1-17-2008

4-13-08 No NOA1 received as of yet.
I opened a case with USCIS on 2-27-2008 about a missing NOA1. Received an email on 4-10-2008 that stated: "Based upon the information you provided, the Vermont Service Center is not able to locate a record of your filing at this office." Mind you that I do have a copy of cashed check with a case number. I will be sending a copy of that to VSC on 4-14-08. I also decided to switch my process from K3 to IR-1/CR-1.

Update:
Due to lack of information I assumed that my case was lost. In June 2008 I got an attorney and another I-130 was submitted to USCIS.

On August 6th, and to my surprise, I received an NOA stating that my initial case was transfered to California Service Center for faster processing. Please keep in mind that I never received the NOA-1, nether could any agent tell me if my case was actually in the system for all this time.

On August 12th I got an NOA1 for the second I-130 I submitted, which obviously will be abandoned.

On Sep 2nd. I-130 Approved.

On Sep 5th. NVC has assigned a number to my case.

Consulate Review: Warsaw, Poland
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 3, 2008
Embassy Review : Interview scheduled at 8:45am. There was a significant wait until she got to speak with the consul. The only questions that were asked is how did we meet. All the paper work was in order. Harassment level 0. Consul was friendly smiled and wished my wife a good life in the USA. The conversation took about 5 min.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
