Hi! I was wondering if you heard anything from the embassy already?

Hi! I received the embassy welcome letter on June 6th. This is about a week after the NVC notified us that they processed our file and send it to the embassy in Brussels

Thank you so much for your reply! I also was wondering if the embassy schedules the interview for you or do you have to schedule it yourself?

You're welcome. The welcome letter contains step-by-step instructions on what to do. It also refers you to a portal (the link is provided in the letter) where you can schedule your visa appointment.

Okay thank you! One last question when you scheduled your interview were there a lot of appointments? And how far away could you schedule one? Or how soon could you schedule one?

They have limited slots available for K1-visa interviews. I had to email them as they only had one slot available for a K1-visa interview on their portal. They got back to me after a day to inform me that they made more slots available. For me, there is a period of three weeks between when I made the appointment (on June 20) and the actual appointment date (on July 7). Waiting times are currently around 21 days. Keep in mind that you should schedule your K1-visa appointment at least 7 days AFTER your medical exam as it takes about 7 days for the results of the medical to arrive at the embassy.

Thank you!! Sorry last question did you receive the welcome letter by mail?
blank avatar Matt D on 2023-06-20 said:
No, I received it via post.

Oki thank you!

Good luck in ??! I had a question for your birth certificate which one did you bring to the interview? The international one or the original with the translate document? Thank you in advance.

I also wanted to ask if you have time, can you post a review for the consulate in brussels on visa journey? It will help me and other fellow Belgians a lot! I appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
