Event Description
Review Date : July 22, 2025
Embassy Review : We had an extremely positive experience with our officer. He explained that there are no questions about our marriage and that the fact that we waited all of two and half years just to get the interview had to do with backlog and not an issue with our case. He was direct about the fact that it would only be a few more days before we heard back. He asked us to show our debit cards from shared bank accounts and he looked at our joint credit cards. Our lawyer was shocked at how nice he was and told us that this friendliness and openness was the exception and not the rule. We are still glad we got lawyers given the current climate and we continue to wait for approval but I had such a positive experience that I had to share it in case anyone is worried. We are also a same sex couple, two women of color and we had a really super positive experience in that interview today. Will say more if my wife's green card is approved without issue.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
