Ended up being on short-term leave for 2 weeks after my 24 months OPT expired. My manager at work wrote a letter which i sent to the office of my local senator and they contacted USCIS on my behalf and expedited my process. From call to senator office to Interview was 1 month or so. Entire i-485 process took 6 month. Very lucky!

EAD was approved while interview for i-485 was scheduled for September. Processing Estimates/Stats : Your EAD was approved in 87 days.

Appt. : 2021-07-14 Interview Date : Approval / Denial Date : 2022-12-09 Approved : Yes Got I551 Stamp : No Green Card Received : Comments : Since applying for lifting conditions, i go the NOA, then couple of more mails about the extension of my then expiring GC, first for 18 months and then bumped to 24 months total extension. Then it was nothing for a whole year plus. Update: i-751 got approved alongside N-400. See N-400 for details
