Hi Zeeshan, I came across your profile on Visa Journey. I reside in Texas as well, and I am currently in the process of IR-1/CR-1 as well. I submitted my I-130 last year in April and I received a notification today that I did not show sufficient evidence for proof of Marriage. In detail, I submitted my Urdu Nikah Nama and my NADRA Marriage Certificate. They are asking me to submit the Nikah Nama in English translation as well. I have a relative who did not even submit the English translation of the Nikah Nama, they only submitted the Urdu Nikah Nama and NADRA certificate, yet their case was approved. My question for you is, did you have to submit an English translation of the Nikah Nama as well?

I just came across your comment, yes, you do need to submit an English translation of the Nikkah Nama. The original Urdu Nikkah Nama can be translated to English if an English version was not signed at the time of the wedding. The translation can be done from an authorized agency.

I appreciate the response, I just submitted my case again with a certified English translation from a credible agency in Pakistan. Thank you for your help and best of luck with your case!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
