Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 3, 2023
Embassy Review : Formerly F2A case but upgraded to IR1 in November 2022. Interview date 2-2-23.

Husband got in line at about 5am for his 7am appointment. He came ready with all documents on checklist and relationship evidence.

Passport photos were scanned and returned to him at first window. After waiting a little while his number was called, and he went to another window. There, the CO asked for wife's name, where she works, where she lives in the US, how often she had visited over the years. went over his travel history to the US on B1/B2 visa and asked a couple more questions.

Afterwards he told him he was approved and handed him the document collection center page.

CEAC status changed from Ready to Administrative Processing. On the next day it changed to Issued! Thank God for a smooth process!

P.S Beware of scammers telling people standing in line for their embassy appointments to print their AOS & I-130 receipts at exorbitant prices. You DO NOT need to print those. Please ignore them.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
