Hey, have you contacted NVC or USCIS once your case was approved?? Because my case was approved (NOA-2) on 3rd march. But i am still waiting for NVC to receive my case. Do we get any email notification once NVC Receive the case??

You will get an email when case is forwarded to the embassy. You will have to fill out the NVC public inquiry form to find out your case number, invoice number, and beneficiary ID.

Thank you for the info.

Congratulations! I have similar timeline. My case left NVC on 9th May 2023 and it is showing that the case is ready on 15th May 2023 when checking online. However, I have not received any welcome letter from Mumbai Embassy by post. Should I wait for the Embassy to send the welcome letter or should I go forward and schedule the appointment?
Thank you in advance

If the NVC Visa status says ready, fill out DS-160 and schedule visa appointment. You do not have to wait for the letter from the embassy.

Where can we check the online status for NVC?

Google NVC VISA Status check. You need your case ID from NVC to check it.

Hello!
Please can you tell me How many days are taken to receive interview letter from nvc after shown case status is ready ?

We received one mail from NVC on 05-15 informing us our case was forwarded to the embassy and another from Embassy a week later containing my original I-129F packet and instructions to schedule an interview.

You both are receiving same email ? Or your petitioner is receiving this email ?

Congratulations!

I am talking about what beneficiary is receiving on postal mail. Petitioner will receive a copy of the NVC letter on email.

ok! thank you for help!

Hey, I filled out nvc inquiry form and they provide me the case number. I might have to fill it out again and will ask the invoice number, and beneficiary ID as well. But my question is when I checked my NVC status online, it’s showing ‘at NVC’. Do we have to wait for the status to change to ‘ready’? Or we can fill out ds-160 and schedule an appointment now?
Thank you in advance

You can start on your DS-160 when it says 'In-transit.' I would recommend you to pay fees and schedule appointment only after the status says 'Ready'

Do we need invoice id number and beneficiary id for fill out ds -160 ?

We never had to use invoice ID or beneficiary ID at any point during the visa process. All you need is case status.

All you need is case number

Okay thank you

I have tried to login and follow this link ‘ceac.state.gov/iv’ but they are asking me the case number and invoice id to continue the form

I only see that they are only asking for case number.

How much time did they took to get pcc ? Because i just find out it’s take 2 months where i live.

3 weeks in our area

Did you get PCC from Regional Passport office or from SP office?

Passport office

Thanks Shelby and Congratulations.

Hello, how did your book your OFC and interview appointment? I've tried to book several times for July-September slots but none of them are available.

I booked through usatraveldocs under immigrant visa section.

Did you get the interview and VAC dates right away? I've been trying since yesterday but none of the dates are available right now. Please explain the process after you've entered the receipt number if you don't mind.

Once my case status changed to ready, I completed DS160, created USAtraveldocs profile under immigrant visa, entered the information, and MVR fee payment receipt number ( after making payments). On the next window, I selected Mumbai for location, and I was directed to K1 visa appointment page where I selected VAC and K1 interview dates. If you are not seeing an appointment slot, try calling the embassy through customer care number. You have to talk to an agent. If this does not work, keep on checking for slots everyday.

Thanks for the response. I called the embassy and they told me the same- to keep on checking everyday. Hopefully I can get a date soon.

Is VAC appointment for Finger Printing ? Does it have to be in Mumbai or we can have it at some other place.

Yes, it is for fingerprints. I believe you can take it anywhere in india.

NVC Left on 5/23 and embassy received 6/1but I still have not received my packet 4. Can we book vac and interview without that? Did you ever received packet 4 (welcome letter from embassy)?

Yes, you can book VAC and interview without that. Packet 4 is available online. We did not receive packet 4 but we got a letter from embassy before our interview which contains online link to packet 4.

How do we get packet 4 online??

Google K1 visa packet 4 us embassy Mumbai. They will send you the same on the letter

My case was Ready on 21st July 2023 and I scheduled my consular appointment for 18th August. But for the medical they are asking for appointment letter from US consulate which I do not have. When I contact US Visa Service Desk, they ask for appointment letter fro. NVC. Its been over 2 weeks, any way I can get it or contact anyone to get it?

If you schedule your consular appointment for K1 visa, you should be getting the appointment confirmation email, or you can print it from usatraveldocs by logging in and going to appointment history tab.

Yes but that is the appointment confirmation details. Did you receive packet 4 instructions from Mumbai Embassy, till date? Do they ask about packet on interview date? I am from Mumbai, should I go ahead and schedule Medical in Delhi as Mumbai is not scheduling medical without packet 4? Thanks a lot for your response
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
