At customs desk we were asked to follow an agent to another room where we waited 30 minutes and then we were handed my wife’s passport and told we could exit the airport. We weren’t asked any questions. |

Process was smooth. My wife arrived 30 minutes early and gave her name at the gate and was told to wait for her name to be called. Once called she stood in line and within a few minutes she went thru security and was inside. She waited roughly an hour before being called to the window. The consular greeted her and asked if she’d like to conduct the interview in Arabic or English. Once the interview began it was over in less than 5 minutes. He asked her My Name, Address, Occupation, Current Location and how we met. After answering all the questions he told her congratulations you will receive your Visa in the next few days. Overall great experience. |

Timeline Comments: 9I saw DQ 28/11 got scheduled for an interview. Did you get sent an interview letter?
JD2 on 2025-03-26 said:For your I-751, did you get any email saying "We have taken an action on your case" but then nothing new when logging into myUSCIS? I'm not talking about receiving these emails after biometrics or something like that. I thought it was an approval but there's nothing.
This is a common glitch that many people are seeing. It means nothin, an officer probably just opened your file.
JD2 on 2025-03-26 said:Has it happened to you?
Not yet, but you can see the countless number of people asking about it on the VJ forums.
JD2 on 2025-03-26 said:Yea, so I think many of us that were approved fast at I-130 stage got sent to National Benefits Center and we get approved relatively fast too. So, I was expecting an approval.
I don’t think there’s a bias where they’re trying to help us lol. We just so happen to be in NBC and most of us are only going to get approved once we file the N-400.
JD2 on 2025-03-26 said:No, I don't mean like that. Maybe there's something in common like a clear background check for both petitioner and beneficiary. Just something I noticed looking through the timelines. I could be wrong.
I don’t think so, because I was actually put into administrative processing despite getting our I-130 approved within 5 months and our visa appointment before the 1 year mark.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
