Event Description

Embassy Review : My husband arrived for his interview at the embassy and after handing over his paperwork, they called him for his interview in 15 minutes or so for his interview. He was asked how long we knew each other, asked for his medical exam and his passport and why he was going to the States. The interview lasted 5-10 minutes and they didn't ask for any of our supporting documents (pictures, letters, 129f application, etc.). At the end of his interview, the interviewer just said "Congratulations, you can continue with your travel plans". The interviewers were all Latinos and spoke native Spanish. Those who received him at the embassy also spoke Spanish. It took under 2 weeks for them to place the visa in his passport and mail it to Cochabamba, which included a 2 day holiday for Carnaval. It was a positive experience for my husband.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
