Can you tell me more about what you did to get your interview scheduled?
CaprilovesAries on 2023-09-09 said:
Did you schedule the interview with just the case number? or did you get the welcome letter with a invoice number? Please and thank you.

Honestly I called them once a day my fiance called them once a day then I would email 2 times a day . I just kept bugging them checking on my case. She told me it was escalated I said what does that mean days . Months ? What and they always says you just need to wait but I do same everyday . Then finally got an email for an interview

Yes at first NVC never gave me an invoice number till a few week and half later after I emailed asking them that I got my case number but never an invoice . And then they finally emailed me with the invoice number

Thank you for replying back! did you schedule the interview or did they give you one? and how long did it take for the nvc to send your packet to Casablanca?

No you can’t schedule ur own interview they have to send you an email and give you the interview with all dates and details … July 24 our case was created at NVC August 3 it was ready at the embassy to be scheduled. August 16 we received the email for the interview to be on sept 1. Got approved that day. Got his visa in hand 7 days after

K1Casablanca@state.gov That is email where my scheduled interview came from. And before we got an interview we did file our ds160 and paid our fees at the bank ahead of time . So when I would email them I would give them every detail with case number WAC number both of our names and DOB and and gave them the receipt number from our fees so they know we are absolutely ready and all of our documents were ready to go. And when you make an account on the UStraveldocs.com on the side of the page I believe it says suggested feedback click it and write in there to them that is where they escalated our case make sure give them all details and tell them how long you have been waiting . We filed back in sept 2021!! If you have any questions let me know :))

:) Thank you so much for the information. Do you remember all the fees your fiancé had to pay like for the medical and all that? Also currently all I have is a case number no invoice number that I got the beginning of this month, how long do you think I will have to wait to get an invoice number, interview date etc? my fiancé also wants to know if he should be preparing his documents now, since in Morocco certain documents expire? and can I create a ceac account with just the case number or do I need the invoice as well?

Where do we pay the ds160 fee? can we pay it before the welcome letter?

What date was your case “ready”?

July 24 nvc created the case aug 3 it was already sent to the embassy and ready to be scheduled for an interview and that’s when I really started hassling them and calling and lots of emails. And we never received the welcome letter in the mail only got an email from NVC with our case number on it no invoice. Also if you haven’t received invoice number it’s not a huge deal but I would email NVC and say I received my case number but don’t receive my Invoice number and make sure in email just provide them all your details with WAC number case number and both names and DOB. If they don’t respond few days I would email them again. And we went to bank to pay the fees. If you go to ustraveldocs.com make a profile on there it will tell you exact fees to pay and where and when you do pay make sure you keep the receipt they need that at the interview and you will need your passport or your fiance whoever is doing the interview! Yes we did file everything before we got the interview letter and we did file the ds160 early too. Also make sure there passport is update and doesn’t expire within the 6 months before coming if it is get that taken care of asap because we renewed ours and filed the ds160 with the old passport but we did another ds160 with updated passport and luckily we did that because we would been on administrative processing and my lawyer even told us not to file a new one they will do that there . But thankfully we didn’t listen and filed a new one. Doctors fee was $200 but it can range between $100-300 depending if they are behind on shots or anything . They do test for weed (smoking) they will fail you on interview if they fail that part I seen a few denials and also my fiance told me a guy there said he use to smoke but doesn’t anymore and they had him get on a parole like to watch him how he does for a whole year then if he does good they will give him another interview after a year has passed ?

For documents to be ready just have everything together I wouldn’t get them translated yet or if any documents expire I would wait till you get the interview email just to be safe. But make sure everything is original and if you or your fiance has been married before make sure you have the marriage certificate original and original or certified divorce papers even if your in America you need to send those to him because they will delay your case if you show up not having the original ones. And don’t send by postal mail send thru DSL or somewhere fast. Postal mail takes longer even if they say it won’t it happened to his friend waiting for original documents for his interview. But you can file the ds160 and pay the fees ahead I think it helps and shows that your ready so in the emails I would write I would say I have paid all the fees and filed the de160 and all my documents are ready to go. Then I would write all details down of our case and everything . And write feedback in the UStraveldocs.com that help I believe because that is where they escalated our case than I would keep calling and emailing from there

sorry but does my fiancé have to make a ceac account or can everything be done from ustravel ?
blank avatar Charity Lammis on 2023-09-10 said:
He has to make and account there as well both sites the ceac website is where he will file his ds160 make sure you wrote down the number they give you asap because it will log you out quick sometimes so just screen shot it or write it down … and when you start to fill out application make sure you save it every time for some reason took us forever to file because it logs out quickly
CaprilovesAries on 2023-09-10 said:
Oh alright is it possible for me to fill out the ds160 on the ceac account for him? He does not have a computer and unfortunately I can not travel to him due to medical reasons. Like he will help me answer the questions of course.
blank avatar Charity Lammis on 2023-09-11 said:
Yes because I did the same lol just be on the phone with him there is a lot of questions and also you will need a picture of him like a passport picture to upload to it at the end

Thank you so much for the information me and my fiancé are going forward with the ceac account and everything so thank you very much. I do have one question they asked if he had any assistance filling out the ceac account but they said something about a preparer do I put my name down since I helped him?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
