Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 28, 2023
Embassy Review : K1 visa was approved on the spot. At the end of the visa interview, the visa officer said "Congratulations, Your visa is approved and you'll get your passport back in 2 weeks. "
It took 2 months and 4 calendar days to get the passport with the visa back. On checking the visa, there was an error on the visa. The nationality was printed wrong on the visa. It was sent back immediately for correction. It took another 25 days to get back the corrected visa.

The communication with the embassy is very non-informative. They do respond to your emails but do not give any worthwhile information as to when your job would be done.

@Dqs_scout No, you don't need your Original I-797 (NOA) for your appointment. @Zee & A yes still waiting for the passport to come back. There has been no update on the status. On Ceac site It shows 'Application received" and on UStraveldoc site it shows " Document delivery information" @Yousara Rameez It took 3 months and 9 days from NOA2 to the interview date. You can see all this in my timeline.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
