Local US CIS Office Review: Santa Ana CA

Event Description
Review Date : November 7, 2007
Embassy Review : [REVIEW]It is a good office in the sense that it is not a busy office. Infopass appointments are always available on the same day. Waiting time is minimal. The officers are generally friendly although the last time I went, the officer had to add "You should consider yourselves lucky...it took me 12 years to get my greencard." and aftering inquiring further about processing times "Maam, we cannot work 24 hours around the clock, we need to take our holidays too." [VENTING] Both comments peeved me because a) if the officer herself had to go through the immigration process I would expect her to be more sympathetic (I know if I were an immigration officer in the future after going through the process, I would never make useless comments such as the ones she provided) and b) although I would not expect or want anybody to work around the clock, I doubt USCIS staff even works a real solid 4 hours out of any given day so do not give me BS about how USCIS is slaving away. If anyone has evidence to the contrary regarding the latter point, I would love to know about it because it sure would make me feel better...
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
