Consulate Review: Estonia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 2, 2023
Embassy Review : My interview was at 3pm. Was supposed to be last week at the same time but was rescheduled.
The first officer asked for my police certificate and passport and took a scan. Also gave me some pamphlet to read.
Then I had to wait for a while for the consular officer (C.O) interview.
The C.O was a nice sweet lady that had refused me a B1 visa a year ago when I wanted to visit my girlfriend (at that time we were dating). She immediately recognised me and we exchanged and we conversed very nicely.
I took the oath and scanned my fingerprints. Then we started.
1. What does she do?
2. How did you meet each other?
3. First time we saw each other.
4. How many visits.
5. Have any of us been married
6. Where did we get married
7. Show pictures
8. Who was at the wedding
The C.O then informed me that my visa is approved and gave me all the docs back and kept my passport. Told me that my visa will be printed and I'll be notified soon.
I also asked her if she can give me an idea of a timeline for that. She asked if I was travelling and I said I will love to travel home with my wife (as she's currently with me for valentine's). The C.O gladly agreed and told me that she will try to make it possible. When I got home I got an email that my visa is issued and I can pick up on the next day. So I got the visa 24hr after interview. That's the best valentine gift ever. Great experience!
Rating : Very Good

Hi Niecy, it seems like we filed our I-130 around the same time. Also, our petitions were sent to the Potomac Service Center. I wonder if you hear you back from USCIS or Potomac Service Center?

I have contacted USCIS and they said my i-130 Petition is in Nebraska!

Congratulations!!! That was fast approval.. did you expedite?
Jesset0m on 2022-11-07 said:
Hi. Expedite denied. I filed k3. And also grace of God came through for me

Happy for you! No RFEs as well? I heard Nebraska is actually one of the fastest SC. Our PD is July 20th, but ours went to Vermont i think..
Jesset0m on 2022-11-07 said:
Yeah. No RFE thankfully. Maybe you should file k3 and see how it goes. Vermont usually take the longest.
blank avatar Cammar on 2022-11-07 said:
Congratulations. That was less than 4 months. wow! good for you. Keep us posted.

Quick Question: How did you contacted USCIS when they said your i-130 Petition is in Nebraska?
Jesset0m on 2022-11-07 said:
Oh I contacted USCIS online. Through ask Emma. I chat with a live agent and asked them.
blank avatar Cammar on 2022-11-07 said:
Thanks, the live agent just told me my I-130 was sent to the Texas Service Center.
Jesset0m on 2022-11-07 said:
Ohhh. Congratulations. As long as you're not in Potomac or Vermont you're good haha

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
