Comments : The NVC told us we *did not* need a police certification for Belarus due to the situation in the area. The documentation showed she only needed one if she was there for over a year, she was only there 10 months for work.

At the interview, they said it was required and would not budge. There was no Belarus embassy in Singapore. Had to travel to Vietnam for 1.5 weeks to get the police certificate there. Once that was submitted, within 3 days the Visa was delivered!

Make sure you get *everything* on the document list... even if you're told you *don't need it*!

Consulate Review: Singapore
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 10, 2022
Embassy Review : Very friendly staff. 1 hr wait, 15 minute interview.

The only hangup was with miscommunication between NVC and Consulate with a police certificate which required us to travel to Vietnam to the nearest Belarus consulate.

Once we had the document, the submission was very easy and received visa 3 days later.
Rating : Good

Thanks for updating your timeline and congrats on your petition approval! We are in a similar boat — based in Singapore, but filed the I-130 in Feb 2022. Processing times seem to have lengthened, but we are in no hurry. All the best to you both on your journey!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
