Congratulations on receiving your interview date. I have similar NOA2 date as you, 9-29-22, however have heard nothing. Were you ever notified of your case #? Were you only notified that your case was sent to the consulate in Rio? Did you receive a welcome letter?

I was notified via email that my case was sent to the embassy. Then my fiancé handled the appointment. I sent her my credit card to pay the fees and she was able to make the appointment. It is so frustrating! This whole process will take 20 to 21 months, totally unfair. I wish you all the best for a sooner than later appointment. Hope this was helpful.

Thank you so much for your reply. My last public inquiry to NVC received a reply stating just what you have said. They will notify me when my petition , or case, has been sent to the appropriate consulate. Que estupido! This is not what their own web site says, regarding the welcome letter and filing DS 160, etc.
At any rate, Thank you again, it is comforting to know the experience of others in this situation.

Once you received the email from nvc. case was forwarded to embassy and it arrived and marked ready. Did the embassy send a packet to your fiancé on how to schedule appointment or just went online and scheduled
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
