Hey, congratulations ! Have you receive the nvc case number/invoice

Thank you. Yes, I've had my case number since Feb 1st. I did a public inquiry with NVC at 60 days post noa2 and they replied with my case number.

Hello! How long do you think the Nairobi wait time is to get an interview?

There isn't a backlog so not very long. My case went in transit 14 Feb 2023, on 16th Feb they opened a slot for March 10 and I grabbed it.

Hey im also in kenya, how did you book your interview, im a bit confused on what do next. My case also went into transit the same day as yours.
blank avatar Ra3l on 2023-02-20 said:
I created an account on the embassy website. It is from there that you'll pay and schedule an interview.
blank avatar Val99 on 2023-02-20 said:
Okay, is this after the case status changed from transit to ready? Should i wait for instructions or just go ahed and create one. Also which option did you choose to create an account
blank avatar Ra3l on 2023-02-21 said:
The embassy requires you to have the instructions from them before you can proceed to create an account and schedule an interview.

Hey. Congratulations! Just wanted to ask, how do you know when an interview slot becomes available? I have created an account and the embassy tells me I can't pay the visa fee yet until an interview slots becomes available?
blank avatar Dwc on 2023-03-01 said:
Found out how to find if a slot is available. Huh! Am finding this process quite complicated. You have to click the pay visa fee section and it direct you to where it tell you that you can't pay yet because no interview slot is available but once a slot becomes available, you can proceed and pay the fee. You are supposed to check regularly to see if there is a slot available.

Amazing! You have no idea how encouraging this is. What kinds of questions did they ask? Also what did you bring? If you don’t mind me asking?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
