We sent copies of pictures together labeling (who each person is, date, location pictures taken), we made an album on google slides, made a digital scrapbooking) that we printed off and uploaded. Copies of plane tickets, ticket subs from tourist sites we saw together, each wrote a personal letter of how we met & fell in love. Of course has at least two people write a letter on our behalf. Emails/social media/WhatsApp exchanged Between us. I put my husband on as a beneficiary on the document and uploaded the document. I think the more the better of various ways showing proof. I wish you two the very best!

Just saw you updated that they refused the visa. What is their issue?? You guys had all the proof. This. Embassy is insane. If you wouldn't mind sharing the interview process or leaving it as a review under the consulate reviews section, I'd love to hear the experience. Hoping you guys will be able to turn around their decision.

We don’t know! It feels like a stall tactic…. His interview in Arabic the interviewer said congratulations, then next in English ask many questions about my ex husband, how long my spouse & I knew each other, asked about me, name, birthday, how we met, my prior divorce, I guess, they only verbally told him, when is the last time you talked to your wife? He said before this interview and they said they want proof of that. He showed up at 7:30, as instructed and then his 1st was at 10:30 in Arabic (told him congratulations), 2nd interview in English was at 12:30. They wouldn’t tell him anything specific, they kept telling him to upload the required documents. That’s all. A few days later Embassy called and asked my husband to send his passport via SLS. It’s been since September 21st and we have not heard anything. We emailed too. We are trying to have continued patience and praying!!

Ugh so frustrating! Thank you for sharing. I have also been married before so this is helpful. From what I've heard though, the fact they asked him to send his passport is a very good sign. Fingers crossed for you!

Hey there! Checking if there has been any update for you since you sent his passport in?

We got visa in hand 10/5/22!!!! We have been so blessed & busy, finalizing travel plans! Sounds like their biggest concern was that we married four months past my divorce even though I was separated for two years prior. But the unknown is always the challenge because your mind starts to second-guess everything! I’m wishing you two best of luck!
Laura And Taha on 2022-10-22 said:
Good to know! Similar situation. Virginia requires one year of separation before you can file for divorce. So on paper it looks like we were engaged very quickly after my official divorce and even we started talking during the separation period. Legally married 2 years after the divorce. So glad you got your visa!

Congrats on him being in the USA now! Our interview is 30 days away. Since they asked you for your last communication, I'm uploading our chat history to ceac in hopes he won't have to do it again. Fingers crossed!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
