Hello we are also from Iraq. How did you get your case transferred to Turkey? Was there anything you did?

Hi! I had to contact the NVC with the inquiry form multiple times and tried calling as well. Eventually they responded and got it transferred. You just have to bug them a lot

Thanks so much for the response! What did you tell them when u contact them? That Baghdad is closed and u want to transfer to Turkey? I really appreciate the help!

Yes I told them we have been waiting too long and I really need to transfer to Turkey that no one even knows when they will open in Baghdad. They had no issues at all and transferred it very quick actually I want to say it took about 2-3weeks

Hello Fatima, if you don’t mind me asking why did your interview take place 4 months after the consulate received your case? Did you not find any interview spots? Thanks for answering my questions!

I just got transferred to Turkey from Baghdad. Thanks for your advice. What did you think of your experience at Turkey. Did they give you a hard time because you’re from Iraq? Any advice for interviewing at Ankara? Thank you so much for your help!

My husband thought it was a very good experience. No hard time at all, really the issue we had was getting the visa, in Iraq the Turkish embassy is picky. Make sure he has good evidence that he will come back to Iraq such as a bank account with at least 2k or papers of owning a house. The interview itself my husband said was really easy the questions were straight forward just make sure the basics about the relationship is known and date of births, jobs, etc. no problem at all!
