Hello our case still says in transit so it should be going to the consulate in Ankara soon. I had a quick question did you all schedule your interview yourself or did the consulate/nvc gave you the date in March?

Hi! Ankara did reach out to me when they got the application (they were asking for my fiances email even though it was in the application) and sent me a document (https://tr.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/91/K1K2-VISA-INSTRUCTIONS-EN.pdf) that says I should have contacted them first. So, I would suggest doing that. I must say, I sent multiple emails to the given email address in the following weeks asking when an interview slot would be opened up but they ignored all of them.

Our interview date is pretty close, did you get the medical appointment too? Will you take any vaccination records?
Omya on 2023-02-22 said:
We did get a medical appointment. My understanding is that aside from covid vaccines, vaccination records in Turkey for people my age are a lost cause. I vaguely remember that people who went through this before said they do a test to see if you're vaccinated. If not, they vaccinate you.

Hey Omya :) I was wondering, when the interview dates were available. Did you choose the earliest interview slot you could find? If not, how soon could you have booked the appointment from when the interview dates came online
Omya on 2023-03-03 said:
Hi! If I remember correctly (I was incredibly excited, so my memory is a bit blurry), I chose the earliest possible slot. There were 2-3 other slots in the same day and 1-2 other days (the following couple days) with 2-3 slots each. I was refreshing back to back when the slots opened up, so I was probably the first to see what was available.

Hello omya congrats on your approval! Did they schedule your interview date or did you refresh the ais webpage until slots were available
Omya on 2023-03-06 said:
Thanks! We kept refreshing it. Between my fiance and I we refreshed 10s of times a day.

Hi Omya! I just got the email from Ankara saying they received the case and asking for my fiancé's email address/name and the link to the PDF (https://tr.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/91/K1K2-VISA-INSTRUCTIONS-EN.pdf). Did you wait for your fiancé to receive an email from them before scheduling the interview? Or was this email enough to start scheduling?

You should fill out your ds-160, make sure you can get the documents in time and try to schedule asap! They sent the same email to me and never acknowledged the email where I sent the email
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
