Event Description
Review Date : September 16, 2021
Embassy Review : Arrived by 7:30am and there were about 5-6 people waiting.
Once you go inside, they take your phone and smartwatch.
2nd Floor, they check reservation confirmation and then you go to the 3rd floor to wait.
They call your name and check your documents. Wait. Second time you're called, you do the interview. Very kind caucasian lady.
Questions: How did you meet? Wedding plans? How many times have you been to the states and for how long?
Visa is approved. Visa and passport will be mailed and should arrive in a week.
Finished a little past 9am.

Event Description
Review Date : July 21, 2022
Embassy Review : Make sure you have a face mask! They will not let you enter the building without one.
AOS for marriage - Our appointment was at 1:15pm, so we arrived at 1pm and was denied entry because we didn't have a face mask. Ran across the street and bought two at the deli. By the time we checked in on the 7th floor, it was 1:15pm. They gave us a number and told us to wait for door #2 to call us. There were a lot of people waiting... We didn't get called until past 4pm. I think we were the last ones to get interviewed...
Our officer was a nice man but we had a hard time understanding him with the face mask and accent... He told us there were issues with the new system and that it was so slow. My husband (beneficiary) had a hard time hearing the officer's questions, which was frustrating. And when asked about my age/birth date, my husband was off by a year... The date was correct, but the year was not. I think he got so flustered in the moment...
We submitted copies of my birth certificate, our rent bill, joint tax filing, two pictures, my husband's vaccination records, and our marriage certificate.
At the end, he printed a letter 'Notice of Interview Results' which said we completed our interview but USCIS is unable to complete our case at this time.
We received our approval notification 24 hours later.

Hi! your case comes up on the approved timeline as if your noa1 were from January. but actually your case is from October! The date that you must put here as noa1 is the reception date that is in your noa1, but not the date you received noa1 (January), since it does not show the reality and alter the timeline Could you help us by changing it to the actual reception date? thanks a lot ☺️

Congrats on the green card! My wife and I got our K1 from Korea about the same time as you, so this is hopeful for us!

Thank you! I see that you got the EAD card, which means you should be getting the AOS interview schedule soon! You'll feel so relieved once the process is over. Good luck!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
