My fiancée’s visa appointment was scheduled for 0730 on June 1 2022 and according to her the interview lasted for about 3 mins. After the interview she was told her medical results wasn’t available to make a determination so the consular officer took her passport and other documents.
She was also told that her visa will be issued once they receive her medical results from the clinic. She was therefore given documents about legal rights available to victims of domestic abuse and a 221(g) form. The 221(g) form which is like a temporal “refusal†notice with the explanation as follows “your case is subject to further administrative processing. This process can be lengthy. We will contact you when there is an update in your case or if there is some action you need to take.â€
The 221(g) scared her but i was encouraged by the fact that somebody on this platform had already shared similar experience. the visa was issued today and she’s been informed to expect it in 10 working days.
She was asked the following questions during the interview;
1. How did you meet your fiancé?
2. How many times have met your fiancé?
3. Is your fiancé married?
4. Does your fiancé has a child?
5. Did you and your fiancé do a traditional ceremony? (tricky question to take notice off)
6. Did you and your fiancé exchange rings?
The consular further asked a specific question relating to our case but he didn’t request to see our photos, chats and call logs. The overall experience according to her was surreal and two things to take note for any person going for an interview are COMPOSURE and CONFIDENCE.
The GOD FACTOR is the ultimate during the whole interview process.
Good luck to everyone

Timeline Comments: 16Your file hasn't left nvc yet?
Congratulations!! It's moving nicely. I'm excited for you. Hopefully the consulate is quick too
yeah i hope so too. it’s been a stressful journey
Yea it seems like all three of the agencies USCIS, NVC and Consulates will be speeding up.
It's really unfair the amount of time they take. We pay for a service and have no idea a stable timeline.
You’re right. these agencies are inefficient with lots of covid excuses
Ayikoo!!!! Wishing God's blessings on you two. The journey was long but you've made it through this visa process!! So excited for you.
thanks much. it’s been such a long journey but at the same time it feels like yesterday. yours will definitely come too
Congratulations 🎊. So glad this visa journey has come to a good end.
We thought the packet 3 saying we could schedule the interview would actually let us schedule... How long after you filled the form online on ustraveldocs did they let you schedule? How did that work? Did they assign you an interview time or did you get to pick?
Ooo I was referring to you. I'm still waiting for the noa2
I am asking the person who posted this timeline those questions. Sorry for the confusion
Ooo sorry. I'm so embarrassed. That makes sense. 😆
we constantly kept checking up on the ustraveldocs before we got an option to pick appointment date and that was probably after 2-3 weeks of completing the checklist on the ustraveldocs.
Yes, an interview date and time is assigned to you for you to pick if it’s convenient for you.
How did you do your search? As in the times you login to cgi website to check for dates? I have looking for date for over 5 months now. It’s mentally draining me.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
