Hi, was wondering if you had your petition expedited due to Russia. Thanks

Hello. Yes, I’m Russian and we got our petition expedited due to heavy sanctions resulting me losing my income.
SaraClaire11 on 2022-07-29 said:
Glad to hear it all worked out! Good luck in your interview!

We had 2 expedite requests denied for my Russian fiance this year. Would you mind sharing what you said in your request?

And congratulations,by the way. I hope the interview goes smoothly and you get your visa soon!

Hi, can you share why it took so long from consulate received to packet 3 received? Also, what is actually in packet 3?
blank avatar Helena55 on 2022-08-30 said:
It takes Poland up to 8 weeks to send the packet 3 due to the huge backlog. It’s also very difficult to book an appointment in Polish embassy if you are not a resident: the closest appointments available are in 6 months rn. For me packet 3 was just an e-mail with a few files attached: domestic violence pamphlet, copy of my petition, and the instructions about how to schedule my interview and medical evaluation appointment.

Hi, my now husband is also Russian. Can I ask what you wrote for your EAD for the expedite for work permission. Meaning, what was your approved reason for "financial loss"?
blank avatar Helena55 on 2023-01-26 said:
Hello, Milller_Kay! EAD is very easy to expedite now. We told them that because of the inflation it’s difficult for my husband to pay for two people from one pocket and I want to start working to help him pay his bills. Additionally we said that we are planning to have a child together some time soon and if I started working asap it’d help us to save money to pay for the expenses associated with my future (hypothetical) pregnancy. When they asked us to fax them a proof of my words I sent them a letter where I listed how much we spend for our basic immediate needs monthly (rent, utilities, groceries, gas, car insurance, car loan payments, internet and phone bills, even how much we spend to buy food for our cats), the lease page with our unit price and my husband’s bills for the last month attached. I had to resend them the documents twice since the first time they didn’t receive my fax, so if you do it, make sure you are not mailing your documents on Friday or the weekend. Additionally if they ask you to send them a fax, write the applicant’s name, case number, expedite number and attorney you are sending it to (they’ll give you a name) on each page you fax them. PS: You can also expedite if your husband has a job offer here. You choose the “financial loss” reason and report that there is a company that is willing to hire him, then send them a letter from his potential employer.

Hi Elena. Your progress is looking great! We finally have sour interview in Warsaw on March 2nd. I'm curious, what reason did you provide to be approved for the advanced parole? My fiance is super stressed about the potential of not seeing her family for 15+ months due to the adjustment of status wait time.
blank avatar Helena55 on 2023-01-27 said:
Hi! I got my advanced parole together with my EAD approval. They approved my I-765 form and sent me the notice of action saying that my card is being produced and I’m going to receive a combo-card (EAD + advanced parole) soon. Simultaneously with it they closed my I-131 case completely.
Miller_Kay on 2023-03-04 said:
Thanks for the helpful info @Helena55! How long did it take for them to receive your documents via fax? We sent them a week ago, but we haven't heard anything back. They also didn't assign us an attorney should I be concerned about that?
blank avatar Helena55 on 2023-03-04 said:
@Miller_Kay, the first time I faxed the documents I waited for 2 weeks with no answer. Then I faxed them again and within few days I got my request approved. Are you sure your request doesn’t mention the attn number? Mine says “ Please fax proof that your case meets one or more of the expedite criteria to the following number: 802-860-6933, Attn: LC05*1”. If your letter doesn’t have it it’s fine too I think
Miller_Kay on 2023-03-05 said:
Hmm OK. I'll try again if I don't hear anything this week. I did get an attn #! Maybe I should try again with that number. I used an online faxing method called "fax me" and received a "delivered" message from them. But not from USCIS, what method of faxing did you use?
blank avatar Helena55 on 2023-03-05 said:
Oh, yeah, fax me doesn’t work. That’s what I did the first time, I don’t think they ever received my documents. The second time I went to Office Depot and faced it from there, it worked
blank avatar Helena55 on 2023-03-05 said:
Tru to go to Office Depot, Fedex, UPS oe any other place with an actual fax machine and send it from there
Miller_Kay on 2023-03-05 said:
Oh man. OK thanks for the help and info!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
