Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 19, 2007
Embassy Review : it all went very well, pretty quick. i was scheduled at 1pm. and i believe that 15 minutes later, i was on the 1st window, to give all my papers. 5 minutes after i was called again at the 2nd window, i was asked regular questions: "where we had met", "what was he doing", "how old we were". pretty brief. the lady was very nice, with humour. unfortunately for me, i was missing 2 papers, but she explained to me that it was no big deal, i didnt need to come back to paris, just send them as soon as i'd have them (otherwise i would have had my visa right away!!!). she answered my questions. she told me to go back to my seat. finally another 5 minutes later, i was called again at a 3rd window, she gave me some paper to send along with my missing papers, and that i'll get my visa when they received those papers. congratulations, smiles. very nice. i was out of the consulate at 2 pm!! but without my visa due to my missing papers (which were 1: a spanish police record, for i had lived more than 1 year in spain; and 2: a letter from my US fiance's employer stating his yearly salary, for the sponsor).
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
