Comments : Everything went well the day of the interview except my husband was given the DS 5535 questionnaire at the end of his interview.
We submitted the questionnaire the next day and now we are only waiting for the clearance to be over. My husband asked them how long will it take they said about 6 weeks.

My husband's IR1 timeline PD: August, 2020 Interview Date: April 12,2022 Result: Refused under 221G Doc Request: DS:5535 *11.5 month waiting* Request email to Submit Passport: March 20,2023 Passport in hand: March 24,2023 (DHL) Arrived USA: April 9,2023 Good luck to you all!

Congratulations to you. I’m also going through the same extreme vetting knowns as DS5535, they kept my husbands passport and even gave him a note with date to come and collect his passport. Two days after his interview he received an email with the DS5535. It’s been 5months now since we filled the form and sent it to the embassy. I’m so happy for you. Your story gave me hope.
