Question asked:
My visa was approved today the 22nd of july and this is how it went

I was scheduled for 12:30pm appointment, i got to the embassy around 8am, i no wan hear say police arrest me before my interview 🤣... so i walked into the auditorium i was asked to go back i came too early, i went back to the car park and sat down till 11am then i walked in again and i was given number 13.. so i was called to submit my police report which was issued to me since march 2021 and my original birth certificate along side my passport and 1 passport photo..

After waiting for like 30mins was called by a white lady to a window to swear an oath of which i did.. then i went back and sat down and waited or the actual interview.

I was just glancing all the window only for me to see the a black consular officer flipping my documents ..in my mind i was like twice i had gone for visitor's visa interview and i ve not been interviewed by a black CO God abeg ooh.. the petitioner is also black touch her heart..🙏then she called me who is number 13th i walked straight to her

CO: who is petitioning for u ?

CO: when how did u meet ur wife ?

CO: What year did u meet ur wife ?

CO: What year did y'all started dating? That same year ? What month ?

CO: How many times has she visited?

CO: When did u get married ?

CO: Where does ur wife work ?

CO: How many kids has she?

CO: Have ur wife been married before?

CO: Does ur wife have kids with you ?

CO: have you been married before?

CO:Where does ur wife live in the US

Can i see ur proof of relationship
I handed over my Facebook, whatsapp, Instagram, telegram chat and call logs along side with my westernunion receipts i had sent her money since 2019 ThankGod i didn't throw it away🤣

Note: my police report was the old one i did it in march 2021 it was still valid
Note : i never brought out my attestation of birth even tho i was told to do it they accepted the small NPC birth certificate

The she asked me to see my marriage pictures then i brought out my photo album and told her mam i can't slide this through the glass can i flip through so u can watch then she was like🧐 then i started flipping, while flipping i was like this is from 2018 when she visited i kept calling all the years she visited funnily enough i didn't even go to my marriage pictures she asked she just approved me and gave me a white paper and told me my visa would be ready for pick up..

Thank y'all so much .. God has really used u guys to finish the process for me, my lawyer dumped the case on half way and said she ain finna continue again then someone added me to the group🙏😫... i really appreciate y'all God bless...

Hello Nina, I was notified April 22 that our case was documentarily qualified although a file shows as missing but it's there in the NVC file. They said it was documentarily qualified after they saw all documents otherwise they wouldn't have approved it right? Should I go it and re-upload it even though it's there? Or should I just continue to wait for the interview? I'm lost
NinaWest on 2022-06-11 said:
If they qualified you then I would just leave it. May I ask which document it is? You may eventually have to upload it once u get to the Embassy stage.

Congrats 👏 @Nina. How was your interview, hopefully it went well. I would love 💘 to know your interview questions/experience, thanks 🙏
MyNigerianKING on 2022-07-23 said:
Nina it's the passport biographic page which is right underneath the file that says missing and its accepted. After all of that reviewing they still sent a email saying we are documentarily qualified.
NinaWest on 2022-07-23 said:
MyNigerianKING u can choose to upload it and just leave it. Don't worry about if it says accepted or not. Since ur already DQd. It won't matter again until ur at the Embassy stage

Congratulations on your visa. I noticed that you got your passport back on the 26th of July, did you receive the message for pickup on that same day of the previous day? I am asking because I did my interview on Friday and I am yet to get any message from them for pick up.
NinaWest on 2022-08-02 said:
TDA if u check the site, it'll say Issued. Then u should be able to pick it up. Yes it was received the same day. Congrats on ur approval as well....

Hello, did you have to resubmit DS260? I just got my IL for next month and my ds260 is from Feb 2021. Neither NVC nor embassy has told me I need to submit a new one but I heard that it is only valid for 1 year.
NinaWest on 2022-08-03 said:
VEO yes u have to submit a new ds260. And resubmit any other documents that have expired. Like tax forms, W2 ect....

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
