Comments : Process at the Embassy was fairly simple once there. The people who work there are kind and professional. The officer who interviewed me basically asked me to tell him a little bit about our story, what I do now, and when was the last time I saw my fiancé. After the interview he said, "that was easy, you're approved!!"

I had the medical appointment scheduled for the same day as the interview. When the officer approved my visa during the interview, he said the visa would take 3-4 weeks to arrive because they still needed the medical results, which take around 10 business days to be sent to the Embassy.

On 6/9 our CEAC webpage said "Refused," since the medical exam was still missing. Then on 6/22 it said "Administrative Processing," and then on 6/24 it said "Issued." The visa was delivered and received on 6/25.

Congratulations on your approval!! :D We noticed that you got Packet 4 only 8 days before your interview. Did this impact your medical appointment? Did you get it done before receiving Packet 4 or did you get it done after? Thanks so much!

Thank you! We did indeed receive Packet 4 only a few days before our interview. I actually had my medical appointment scheduled for the very same day of my interview at the embassy! Once they give you the date of your interview, you can schedule the medical. They do not care if the medical appointment is before or after the interview at the US Embassy, just as long as you have it scheduled already by the time you arrive to your interview, you'll be good to go.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
