Hi, first of all, congratulations!! How long did it take from when you received your Documentarily Qualified notice to when you received your instructions and appointment notice for your interview?

We were document complete and then 5 days appt. I sent embassy email actually to ensure they accepted file quickl. Nvc we also emailed. Then to further ensure we sent Senator Kelly a request which he took and pushed it. We made appt o line and then done deal. The medical we did with anticipation of vs waiting. No reason to delay longer

How can I send a request to Senator Kelly?

Depends on your location if Sen or House representative works cases or not. Some take the file but do nothing. Others take it and push it. Look up Congressional inquiry for your rep

My rep is Sen. John Laird. I’m not sure right now. Maybe we should wait for a little bit because at this point, we are just waiting for NVC to schedule our interview. Our Documents has already been documentarily qualified. Any suggestions?

Dont know if that Senator pushes or not. With the backlog it all depends on Embassy availability and NVC manning to get them done. It will take a few weeks potentially but your at the end of process now at least. The waiting is hard I know but it makes it all the more special once home and enjoying life together.

Hi Birkbefj, Yeah you’re right patience is the virtue. It’ll be special. I supposed we just have to wait for our turn, almost home run. Hopefully we can spend our Christmas together here in California. My 5 years old son is growing by the minute.

I meant my 5 months old son.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
