Comments : BEFORE THE INTERVIEW:
We didn't realize we would need 3 police-related certificates from Peru: Policiales, Judiciales, and Penales. We only sent Penales in Packet 3, so we needed to get the other two. We got Judiciales online, the Embassy approved it via e-mail, and are still in the process of getting Policiales.

THE INTERVIEW:
Everyone at the Embassy was so nice! The administrative woman asked for these forms: 1. The appointment booking, 2. Proof of fee payment, 3. Medical docs, 4. His passport, and 5. A print-out of the aformentioned Judiciales. She then told us the Policiales doesn't need to be apostilled and that it can be mailed directly from Peru to the Embassy.

I went with my fiancé to the Embassy. Daniel told his interviewer I was there, he called me over, and I did the interview with him! :D Questions: 1. "How did you and your fiancé meet?", 2. "Samantha, when did you leave Spain initially?", 3. "You were together in person for over a year, did you ever live together?", 4. "Do you communicate in English, Spanish, or both?", and 5. "Daniel, will your family be able to attend the wedding?" Next, he looked through the pictures we sent with our original I-129F packet, told my fiancé that I look great in my wedding dress (he's not allowed to see the pic I took at the dress shop before the wedding), and said the photos look good. Then he said that Daniel is approved, but they still need that policiales. Once they've received that doc, he'll get his passport back in about 1 week. :D

AFTER THE INTERVIEW/RECEIVING THE VISA:
The embassy received the Peruvian Policiales on Monday, August 16th, 2021. Between the interview and this date, the CEAC site said "Refused" (due to administrative processing). On Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 the status changed to "Administrative Processing". On Friday, August 20th, 2021 the status changed to "Issued". On Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 the passport and packet for customs arrived! :D (Total cost to pick it up from the post office -- Madrid to Barcelona - approximately 11 euros).

ARRIVING IN THE USA:
He flew out of Barcelona on September 6th, 2021 with a layover in Atlanta as his first U.S. stop. He was the only person at the Atlanta customs with a Foreign passport, so was at the front of the line. After he showed his K1 visa, the customs officer called over an associate who took him into a separate room. This was an office that had 3 desks and 3 customs officers. The new officer took everything out of his unopened K1 packet, looked through it, told him that we had to be married by December 7th, wrote that date in his passport by the visa, and sent him on his way. No questions, but I think he did say "Congratulations".

GETTING MARRIED:
We requested the marriage license on September 8th, 2021 and received it within minutes. We also pre-ordered certified copies at that time. We had our courthouse wedding ceremony on September 16th. <3 The marriage license copies arrived 2 days later.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
