Consulate Review: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 8, 2022
Embassy Review : The interview which was on June 21st was quite a comfortable experience, no hassles, no panic, the consular officer just makes you feel relaxed. Everything went well in terms of the answers and documents provided and the consular stated they were satisfied with the outcome and are waiting for the result of the medicals before a visa will be issued.

Hi ! I see your case is moving in the right direction ! I still need to receive packet 4. Do you think it's better to start booking the medical appointment before i receive packet 4 ? So not to delay the process any further ?🙁 Like is there anything in packet 4 that i need for the medicals?
Fk254 on 2022-06-22 said:
Please book your medical appointment as quickly as...because you should be getting packet 4 and an appointment date soon

I tried to book it but the doctors on the Us website are CR-1 doctors. They don't do K-1 visas and it seems like i need to have my interview date before i can schedule the appointment. Did they mention the K-1 doctor in P4?

You should book the one with IHCH at Den Hague... the one the email looks like this..prevention-ezorg

Thank you. I booked my medical appointment. Is packet 4 the letter with the interview date ?
Fk254 on 2022-06-28 said:
Yes packet 4 contains the link for you to book for an interview date

Oki, also one last question. Is a statement of tax returns enough for the affidavit of financial support or do they expect to send all proof of the assets my fiancé has?
Fk254 on 2022-06-29 said:
Yes the Tax returns is very sufficient ....my fiance just sent me her Tax Returns for 2021...she called it 1040 or IRS Tax Transcript if i could remember.............The US consulate went through it with my i-134form and said it was okay...... i don't think you need to show proof of asset

Hey congratulations on the interview! I am currently waiting for the NVC to assign a case number to me and send my case to the embassy. I was just wondering about the whole process cause it seems like info is all over the place online. So if I understand correctly, I should expect the following to happen: 1. NVC sends case to the consulate / assigns number 2. I get an email (also known as packet 3) that contains a checklist and a form that I should send to the embassy / consulate (i saw that the ds-160 confirmation page is part of what I should send back)? 3. Once they receive my P3, they will open up a slot on the interview portal, and send me the P4 with further instructions? 4. Preferably, I should schedule my medical appointment in The Hague at IHCH before the interview date, should I do this BEFORE i receive my P4, or only AFTER having an interview date / receiving P4? Cause to my understanding, in order to schedule a medical i need to give them information as well (passport and i think also my interview date right? or not..) 5. I do my medical before the interview (preferably) 6. i do my interview at the consulate 7. Done (?) Could you let me know if these are the correct steps, cause I'm really confused! Thanks for reading by the way, and good luck on your journey friend!

First and foremost congratulation on your NOA2 Approval.............For now all you need to do is to get your Case number from NVC so u could start tracking....Once NVC sends your petition to Amsterdam, the tracking status shows ''IN TRANSIT''...................Once Amsterdam receives it.....it shows ''READY''..............Once it shows READY..........Go get your VOG police certificates and fill out your DS-160 Form.............Packet 3 is just an email that requires your passport datapage and DS-160 ............... And also tell the petitioner to fill out form i-134 and send you his or her 1040 or Tax returns................when you get to this level then purpose of packet 4 comes in which is to sent to give you the link to book your interview date and medical

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
