Good Morning. Congratulations! We are ~3 months behind you (based upon the priority date) Could I ask two questions? 1. Did you request an expedited appointment at the consulate? 2. Did you receive the packet physically in the mail BEFORE any status was updated on the Department of State CEAC site? Our case status is currently documentarily qualified and 'At NVC'. Thanks!

Hey! We did not expedite due to not having a strong reason. We did not receive anything in the mail, only emails throughout the whole process. We got the interview email about 4 weeks in advance of the interview date. My understanding is that interview is based on DQ date and not priority date.

Hi! This timeline looks super fast! Congratulation to you both : D In this process, are you aware of other people who had a timeline similar to yours or does it take longer typically?

It took 1 year and ~3 months from the time that we started the process to finally get the visa. It seems that this is pretty standard for Canada. There is a thread here specifically for Canadian IR-1/CR-1 applicants, was very helpful in the process!
