Consulate Review: United Arab Emirates Review Topic: K1 Visa
|

Description |

| Embassy Review : |
Regarding the consulate, it was nerve racking but good. It felt like a DMV, with the wait being one of the most difficult parts. Inside the consulate, one could hear other interviewees going through their processes, and in some cases hearing their stories. Approval rate was something like 60/40, some people getting approved on the spot, others getting rejected on the spot.
Regarding the interview, it went really well and smoothly. Only a few questions were asked, it appears like the interviewer was looking for reactions to questions, and the demeanor of the our answers rather than the actual answers themselves. Interviewer was friendly and made the process relatively enjoyable. |

Timeline Comments: 3Still on NOA1 as of June 28, 2022.
408 days since receipt of NOA1.
Congratulations on getting approved. Did you request expedited for your appointment? If so, what reason did you use?
Thanks
Thank you! We did not request for an expedited appointment. We simply used the site and scheduled for an available appointment. There were even slots for earlier, but we had to schedule a time that worked for us because we had more paperwork to collect
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
