Hello! I was looking over folks' timelines with relatively similar application dates (for Peru). I noticed your timeline looks like it was 5 months between submitting the I-864/IV application and NVC approval. Did they request additional information or was that a standard approval timeline? And 1 more question... how long between that approval and your interview date at the consulate? Thanks for any information you can give, as you know, this is such a nerve-wracking process!

Awesome questions! and yes it is a very nerve wracking process hahaha. So it took us 5 months to get our NVC approval because at the time of submission we didn't have access to my IRS Transcripts for 2021. We just submitted our federal tax returns, and that wasn't enough. Double and triple check that you guys have sent your Official transcripts and W2/1099 forms. that is a must for the NVC. if we had initially submitted those documents our NVC approval would have been after 2 months or so. Our interview date was schedule about 1 month after NVC approval, and the date was about 1 month after it was scheduled. so they go pretty quick, but the months do start adding up if documentation isn't correct upon inicial submission. Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
