Hello! My fiance is also from Japan. Congrats on your NOA2 from last month! How is the process going for you now? We are still waiting for the NOA2

Hi, nice to meet you! And thank you! I’m the fiancé from Japan. We are waiting for the package from American embassy in Tokyo now. After we got NOA2, NVC would contact you to get ready for the interview here. Also I know your pain that you just have to wait for the NOA2 and nothing else. I hope you’ll get NOA2 soon ;)

Thank you. And that's great you're just waiting for the package! I hope things are running smoothly there. When you were waiting for your NOA2 were you checking online as well or just waited for the letter? I wonder if that case tracker will actually be updated to show when your NOA2 is being sent or not.

Yeah, I checked it on USCIS track system from time to time, and I found “my case was approved” one day before my fiancé got the email from them, it’s around visa journey estimated date for us. So you can refer to their data too. It’s taking longer than before, but I assume they are working on your case for sure.

I hope so. Thanks so much for your reply! Good luck with the interview! :)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
