Comments : The border control line was SO long, but once we got to the agent it went so smooth. The agent put us in a waiting room so another agent could verify the visa. The verification process took all but 5 minutes. They put a stamp in the passport with the visa type (CR-1) and the date of entry. That was it! They didn't ask us any questions, they didn't ask to provide the receipt of payment for the entry fee. We had all of that paperwork just in case, but we didn't need it. Out port of entry was Dallas, Texas.

Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 9, 2023
Embassy Review : The appointment time was 9:30, but my husband got there early (a little before 9am). My husband had to go through the normal consulate security before actually reaching the window inside. He received a ticket at the window and waited to be called. The actual interview was probably only 15 min long. There were two people in the interview. Both spoke German to my husband during the whole interview. Here are some questions they asked:
1. Where did you and your wife meet?
2. Who is _____ (insert my sponsors name, who is my father).
3. When did you get married?
4. Where will you live when you move to the States?
5. What will you do for work in the States?
6. When do you expect to leave for the states?
7. What does your wife do for work?
The interviewers went through all of the paperwork. We made sure to bring EVERYTHING plus evidence of our bonafide marriage plus everything translated to english (which probably wasn't necessary but we didn't want to risk it). They didn't ask for anything but the paperwork. The interviewer said everything was in order and he can pick-up his passport within 10 days. The interview was on a Friday and he got his passport with the visa on Wednesday. The interviewers said that since our 2 year marriage anniversary is coming up he said it would have been better to delay him entering the States so we don't have to have conditions but on his visa. Unfortunately, the expiration date on the visa is based on when you had your medical exam so he only has about 5 months until the visa expires, which is a few days before our 2 year anniversary. But we don't mind! From the moment he entered the consulate to the moment he got back home was about 2 hours.
Rating : Very Good

Looks like we are in the same boat. Check not cashed and no NOA1 so far. Hope the Texas center processes files quicker.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
