Member Reviews:

Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 10, 2021
Embassy Review : They were friendly enough but stated we did not have the Intent letter when we did give it to them so we had to send them an updated on with the words 'free and willing to marry'. THen they misplaced the passport photos given to them on interview day so we had to mail a new set from Portugal. All of this caused a delay of 2 weeks and 2 days to receive visa we flew back to Paris to pickup.

Hey there Michelle, looks like we’re on the same boat. I’m happy to see that things are moving along for you and João. Please feel free to share any advice that might help us along the way as we are still waiting for NOA2. Thank you again for updating your timeline.

Hi John, agree we are indeed in the same 🚣🏻‍♀️ 😁. I will share our experiences as we move ahead in the process. I see you guys may be approved in May, that will soon be here.

Hello to both of you! Thank you for sharing your info...I will be watching as ours will be approved in the month of May also (hopefully!) And we are anxious to learn about the scheduling in Paris. Hope all is well.

Hi we have very similar timelines and we just got and rfe and responded. I was curious if you had seen any recent activity after you responded to the rfe?
blank avatar Michelle R on 2021-11-04 said:
No recent activity - they simply acknowledge they received our response.

Received RFE on 12/10/2022 for documentation evidence of marriage. We are in the process of uploading it all that we gathered from 1.5 years of marriage.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
