Hi Tony, I don’t check here often so I don’t know your question. Oh, sorry for the news. Yes, my wife passed the interview yesterday. She will get the visa in 7-10 days. The blue paper you wife got is R1 or R2-A? Just be prepared and have all the information and documents they need. Good luck.
Tonydnc on 2021-03-05 said:
We receieved r2-a. Congratulations. We are putting all the information together for april 26th 2nd appt. I think we didnt frontload well.
Tonydnc on 2021-03-05 said:
Whats the difference between r2-a and r1? Thank you!
Baophan on 2021-03-05 said:
Okay, R1 means the applicant missing some documments like divorce/birth certificate, current tax return, etc. Just submit what the ask then will be fine. However your case is R2-A means they don’t believe in your relationship due to the lack of documents, interviewer answers missing or incorrcect, not bring enough evidence of the relationship, either two have been divorced and having some problems related to previous spouse, age differences or many things complicated reasons so they ask more evidence. Your wife needs to prepare from the smallest things like calls, gift, receipts from tickets, boarding pass, wedding bill,... everything related to your relationship to convince them. Read carefully and follow what they need. I see lots of people not passing the interview lately, even they have children together. I don’t know about anyone else but I told my wife wear formal dress like black pants and white shirt, no high heels, relax and answer questions confidently. Maybe my wife got luck but she prepared very carefully. I hope you guys will reunited soon!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
