Local US CIS Office Review: San Antonio TX
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : May 19, 2021
Embassy Review : Extremely kind and helpful IO. Basically told us she was going to approve us within 5 minutes of walking in the room. Looking back on it, I wasn't asked a single question about my spouse or my spouse's family. I was just asked to "tell me you all's story, and as you do that hold up documents, tell me what they are, and circle where your names are."

I might have just gotten lucky with the IO, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it could have been.
Harassment Level : Very Good

Hi, my wife and I are in SA too. I googled and there is a field office and an Application Support Center. Do you know which one takes biometrics? We need to do a walk in.

From what I understand, both can do biometrics. The field office does biometrics and interviews, application support centers only do biometrics. Walk-ins are pretty hard to get right now, from what I’ve heard, but if it were me I’d go try at the ASC.

Thanks for the info. Tried the FO but they don't do bio and the ASC wouldn't do a walkin but did the bio today using our SA lease and our Portland, OR appointment letter. Now hoping for an interview soon. We filed in September about a week after you. Our I-130 is approved.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
