Local US CIS Office Review: Cincinnati OH

Event Description
Review Date : February 12, 2021
Embassy Review : This review is for the Application Support Center, which is on the first floor and is where I had my biometrics taken. We came in from central KY and parked at Fountain Square garage. Appointment was at 10:00 AM and I arrived at the building at 9:50 AM (note that only the applicant can enter the building). Guard at the door asked why I was there, checked my appointment notice and ID. Security was friendly and helpful in directing me to the ASC just down the hall. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the building felt pretty empty, and I was the only visitor in the lobby.

A staff member was waiting outside the ASC door, and he checked my appointment notice and ID. He asked several questions regarding possible COVID-19 exposure history, and then sent me into the office to check in. Another staff member behind plexiglass verified my appointment notice, stamped it, checked my ID, checked my hands (for wounds/scars I guess?), and had me sanitize my hands. I was the only person in the fairly large waiting room, and one person was ahead of me getting their biometrics taken. Another person came in for their appointment while I was waiting, but there was plenty of space in the waiting area to maintain distance.

After the person ahead of me finished, the agent wiped down the area. I got called up after about 5 minutes of waiting. The agent asked that I briefly remove my mask to take a photo, and afterwards took my fingerprints from behind a kind of rolling plexiglass shield that he could stand behind while he positioned my fingers on the scanner. A few of the fingerprints showed up as green, a few as orange, but he said that they looked fine and that they were ready to be submitted. Lastly, I provided my signature, and that was that.

I was in and out in 15-20 minutes. Everybody was friendly and taking precautions to protect visitors and themselves. Nothing to be concerned about.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
