hello shakyla and francois. May i know if you have gone through the interview process yet?
Shakyla on 2022-05-16 said:
No we have not. He has it in June.

Did you receive the packet via mail or email or picked up by ur fiancé Thank you for your time
Shakyla on 2022-05-16 said:
I actually received the information packet in the mail. He checked and he had not received one yet. I told him what was in it and i also sent it to him so he could have a copy. He kept checking DHL to see if he would also receive a letter. He had not so we contacted the Embassy via email to ask questions. Theybsaid although he may still receive it, he could use the copy i had to finish gathering his documents. In the letter he was instructed to schedule his appointement once he had finished gathering his documents. He checked daily for the 1st avaliable appointment and when it became avaliable, he was able to schedule. Both of you just keep an eye out for the letter to come in mail. It took about a month for me to recieve it here in the US. I expected him to, but i did.

No we did not. It just took a while to process and ship. It was only 2 week. Which is about standard delivery time via DHL.

Hi Hope all is well May I know if possible, The interview date was in June 10, but you guys received the visa via DHL in July 1? Was this a delivery or pickup delay or the embassy? Thank you Kind regards
Shakyla on 2022-07-14 said:
Okay so the interview was june 10th. He was approved and they kept his passport. So information online says it takes up to 2 weeks to receive it back. We waited the 2 weeks but then started to get concerned so we emailed the embassy as well as checked the status on the website. On June 29th the status of the passport was that it "had been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery." On june 30th he recieved a reply from the embassy stating that "the passport was in transit to DHL and will be ready for pick-up July 1, 2022." So i am thinking it was just embassy processing time.

Oh wow so they could take longer than 2 weeks Thank you for the heads up
Shakyla on 2022-07-14 said:
Yes. And if you're ever really unsure and want to know the status, you can always email the embassy's front desk and they are really good at getting back to you with a reply in a day or 2. We did that a lot with questions and concerns.

Hello. I have 2 questions. Did your fiance ever get a marriage packet talking about marriage in the US or even just an approval letter? Also, when you say you emailed the front desk, do you mean support@ustraveldocs.com for Haiti? If not, which one did you use?
Shakyla on 2022-08-06 said:
Hello. 1. He acrually never recieved his package. I recieved it in mail to my address here in the US. I sent it to him so that he could have it. He did not get an approval letter. He was physically told that he was approved at his interview and they took his passport so that they can put his visa in it. 2. The email i used to message the consulate in Haiti was: support-Haiti@ustraveldocs.com. When emailing them, we always put our names and case number in the email so that they can look up our case and answer any questions we had to ask them.
blank avatar Le & Me on 2022-08-06 said:
Thank you. They also said we were approved and we got a packet talking about marriage in the states and how yo contact 911 for help if needed, then they took the passport. It now says administrative processing and I didnt know if that was normal for everyone in Haiti or if it goes straight from ready to issued. Did yours ever show administrative processing?
blank avatar Belle0984 on 2022-08-06 said:
It’s normal Mines did the same thing then it goes to issued then ready
blank avatar Le & Me on 2022-08-06 said:
Thank you. Its been 3 weeks so we were beginning to panic.
Shakyla on 2022-08-06 said:
It's okay. Dont panic. Everything is working out. Just takes a little longer than "normal" now.
blank avatar Le & Me on 2022-08-06 said:
Thank you😊

Which pickup method did you choose? For going to one of the pickup locations was quicker than having it be delivered Also you can inquire about the passport after 10 days? Lastly are you checking the passport tracker as well as your profile?
blank avatar Le & Me on 2022-08-08 said:
We chose to do pickup at DHL. I have sent a message to support@ustraveldocs.com for haiti and they said wait 60 days to inquire. What is a passport tracker?
blank avatar Le & Me on 2022-08-08 said:
I found the passport tracker and it says no status available.
blank avatar Belle0984 on 2022-08-09 said:
Did you also check your cgi profile? If you were approved you should wait 60 days for inquiry
blank avatar Le & Me on 2022-08-10 said:
My cgi does not have anything on it. Should i see approved on the profile?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
