Hello,
Congrats on getting approved! My fiancé has her interview the end of next month in Japan as well. I was curious to know how long after the interview that you knew you were approved and how long did it take to have your documents mailed back to you? Reason I ask is to determine how long after the interview it will be safe to book the flight.

Hello, thank you! In my case, I was told that I was approved and my passport with the K1 visa would arrive in a week at the end of the interview. I got a package from the embassy two days later (tracking system was available as well). I hope the interview process will go smoothly for your fiancé, good luck!!! Chisa

Thank you! Fingers crossed.

Do you mind me asking what of proof of relationship evidence did you provide in the interview? we provided tickets and pictures for the I-129F. Was not sure if that was enough to bring to the interview as well, or if we should provide more like our chat transcripts. The problem with that is that there are thousands upon thousands of pages....

We were also unsure, so we prepared the document that described what had happened to our relationship since the I-129F as well as some proofs including our pictures, flight tickets and our chat transcripts (similar to the I-129F). However, I wasn’t asked to show anything like that during my interview. I still think it would be better to bring proof of your relationship as other people say different things though. I hope it helps.

Very helpful. Seems like we have everything we need. Thanks again!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
